Encryption to secure our daily life and future

From October 20th to 21st, 2024, we will organize a 2-day training course that will be punctuated by 2 major events. The purpose of this event is to promote encryption towards civil society actors, local authorities and activists in Cote d’Ivoire and the necessity to protect it. The event will be held in Abidjan, the capital. As such,on the first day, that is, October 20th, we will organize a conference on the importance of encryption in the fight against sexual harassment of young girls online, the protection of personal data, the fight against organized crime and the safety of activists in their whistleblowing work. On the second day, that is, October 21st, therewill have a practical workshop on encryption.This will focus on the fundamentals of encryption. Through this event, we want to show all stakeholders why it is important to adopt strong encryption. In addition, this will allow all the participants to have increased knowledge on encryption to protect themselves from scammers and thieves, protect sensitive data and strengthen communication security. This event will be shared via ournetwork online and offline. We expect to have 50 participants attending our event.
